Martin Parsons has worked as an engineer in motion pictures, broadcast and post-production for thirty years.

After working as the TV station engineer for the NHK news bureau in London and senior post-production engineer at the commercials facility The Mill, Martin initiated and maintained the image pipeline for visual effects and digital intermediate grading at both Mill Film and MPC in Soho, London – guaranteeing colour fidelity from ingest to delivery for major Hollywood movies.

For the last eight years, Martin has run his consultancy ‘Image Eyes’, providing targeted solutions for – and training in – a range of new technology implementations and associated challenges for the broadcast and moving picture film industries.

Martin also provides technical consultancy and calibration services of monitors and projectors for over 80 companies. These include international, high-end broadcast and commercials post-production organisations in London’s Soho through to many smaller, boutique companies covering film, broadcast and web delivery.

Additionally, Martin has authored and delivered technical training courses for ITV, SKY, Skillset UK, the International Association of Broadcast Manufacturers (IABM), the National Film and Television School UK, SMPTE UK, Screen Training Ireland, Deluxe Barcelona, the University of Barcelona, Smoke and Mirrors, Scripps, MTG/Viasat, Tallinn University Estonia.
